A goosander (merganser) landing in Lauttasaari, Helsinki. Now is the right time to sit down on a stone with The Big Gun (500+1.4x) and shoot flying water birds. Ice is a very important element in the pics giving sense of depth and “icy” feeling.

Went today to the annual meeting with dippers at Jurmukoski, Juutua, Lapland. There were more than 30 of these fantastic diving small, National Birds of Norway.

It was snowing and very windy today.  Snow was drifting around  everywhere.   In the pic is a typical house of Lapland located at Lake Inari.
