Thanks for your nice comment. i’m a fly fisherman, too. Usually I say, that it is just normal, that you do not get any fish. But when you grab your camera, you will always get pics. Not this time.
This is a really nice shot. It’s hard to catch ducks taking off. I have been casually photographing them for many years and don’t have anything as spectacular as your shot.
We have a small pond, little more than half kilometer wide, where these ducks either stay for a while or nest. There is a fairly big black-headed gull colony protecting ducks. There is rather easy to shoot these birds.
