The Green Point Lighthouse was the first solid lighthouse structure on th South African coast, first lit on 12 April 1824. It looks still very solid.

Neat lighthouse! Never seen that design. I get Lighthouse Digest magazine, and enjoy seeing pictures of lighthouses worldwide.
